Separation Season: Your 2025 Starts Now
Let me paint you a picture of what’s happening right now.
While most people are winding down for the holidays, ordering those last-minute Amazon gifts, and planning their New Year’s resolutions that’ll be forgotten by January 15th…
The real players?
They’re already living in 2025.
This isn’t just another “end of year” message.
This is about creating separation between you and everyone else who’s waiting for January 1st to start thinking about what’s next.
Here’s the truth bomb that hit me during my mentor call this week:
The only person standing between you and 3X growth is the person staring back at you in the mirror.
Let that sink in.
When my mentor pushed me to map out what was stopping me from hitting my stretch goals for 2025, something profound happened.
Every single obstacle I listed?
They were all manageable.
All of them.
It wasn’t the market. It wasn’t the economy. It wasn’t my competition.
It was me.
I was the one putting artificial limitations on what’s possible.
And I’m willing to bet you’re doing the same thing.
Here’s what separation season really means:
While others are: - Planning their holiday parties - Making excuses about “waiting until January” - Coasting through December
You should be: - Auditing your 2024 (what worked, what didn’t) - Building your perfect calendar for 2025 - Setting up your systems and processes - Making those uncomfortable calls you’ve been avoiding - Planning your first quarter moves
This isn’t about hustling through the holidays or missing family time.
Hell no.
I’ll be the first one dancing in the kitchen with my kids during Christmas break.
This is about using these next few weeks strategically while everyone else is sleeping.
Let me share the exercise that shook me during my mentor call:
Write down your stretch goal for 2025
List EVERY single thing that could stop you from hitting that goal
Next to each item, write down what it would actually take to overcome it
Circle the ones that are actually within your control (spoiler alert: most of them are)
What you’ll find, like I did, is that most of these “obstacles” are really just excuses wrapped in fear.
Fear of failure. Fear of success. Fear of what others might think. Fear of outgrowing your current circle.
But here’s the thing about fear - it’s a lousy GPS.
It’ll always direct you to stay in your comfort zone, to play it safe, to think small.
And small thinking never created big results.
As I sit here writing this newsletter, I’m looking at my vision board for 2025.
It’s not just numbers and goals.
It’s about the life I want to create, the impact I want to have, the legacy I’m building.
The question isn’t whether these goals are possible.
The question is: Are you willing to become the person capable of achieving them?
That’s what separation season is all about.
It’s about doing the work now so that when January hits, you’re not starting - you’re accelerating.
Your 2025 success isn’t determined by what you do in January.
It’s determined by what you do right now, in these final weeks of 2024.
Take the next two weeks to: 1. Get crystal clear on your vision for 2025 2. Map out your perfect calendar 3. List your non-negotiables 4. Identify your growth barriers 5. Build your action plan
Because when everyone else is nursing their New Year’s hangover and starting to think about their goals, you’ll already be executing.
That’s how you create separation.
To your freedom and success,
mm
P.S. Speaking of separation - I’m giving away FREE copies of “Buy Back Your Time” by Dan Martell this holiday season. This book fundamentally changed how I approached 2024, and I want it to do the same for your 2025. Want a copy? Reply with your address, and I’ll make sure it gets to you. Consider it my investment in your future success.
P.P.S. Remember - you’re either preparing or repairing. Which one will you be doing in January?
