From Rock Bottom to Relentless

Let me paint you a raw picture of transformation.

One year ago, I was sitting at my kitchen table, chugging what would become my last alcoholic drink.

December 23rd, 2023 – a date that would mark the beginning of a complete reinvention of Mike Mathweg.

I didn't know it then, but 2024 would test every fiber of my being.

It would strip me down to my foundation and force me to rebuild from scratch.

And you know what?

I'm grateful for every damn second of it.

Here's the unfiltered truth about my year:

When I stepped on the scale in January, it read 265 pounds.

Today?

223 pounds.

But this isn't just about numbers on a scale.

It's about the daily battle of choosing discipline over comfort.

I haven't just avoided alcohol – I haven't even touched an NA beer.

Why?

Because I knew one taste would awaken a craving I've worked too hard to silence.

Then April 5th hit like a tornado.

I was fired from my corporate job without warning.

Talk about a wake-up call.

But here's where the story gets interesting.

Instead of letting this setback define me, I did something that scared the hell out of me – I bet on myself.

I launched Relentless Consulting, and despite starting from zero, I surpassed my entire 2023 corporate income.

How?

Two words: Relentless Determination

But the real game-changer?

Finding a mentor.

When I first commented on Mike Brown's Instagram post about his Urus, I had no idea it would lead to one of the most transformative relationships of my life.

For the first time ever, I invested in mentorship programs, and I kept asking myself, "Why didn't I do this sooner?"

Here's the most profound lesson Mike taught me: I was already living my dream life – I was just too busy chasing ghosts to notice it.

I'd been running from my past, trying to outpace my youth, carrying weights that were never mine to bear.

The moment I released those burdens back to those who placed them on me?

That's when everything shifted.

That's when I created space for growth, for joy, for real success.

2024 wasn't just about professional transformation.

It tested and strengthened my marriage.

Brianna and I faced every challenge together, emerging stronger and more focused than ever.

We're stepping into 2025 not just as survivors, but as partners ready to conquer.

Now, let's talk about 2025 – Operation Relentless.

I'm not just setting goals; I'm creating a movement.

Here's what's coming:

  1. Relentless Community: I'm sharing every framework, every strategy, every lesson I've learned about systematizing and scaling businesses. We're diving deep into M&A in the insurance space, and I'm holding nothing back.

  2. The Relentless Way: Launching August 2025, this isn't your typical entrepreneurship podcast. We're getting raw, real, and unfiltered. Because let's be honest – you see everyone's highlights on social media, but nobody shows you the battles they're fighting behind closed doors. Make sure you go follow the podcast on IG

And for those who want to dive deeper?

Mark your calendars for May 20th and 21st.

I'm hosting my first ever event “The Madison Mastermind” at TPC Wisconsin.

Yes, we're playing golf, and yes, we're going to transform your business. (Reply "mastermind" for details)

Here's what I want you to take away from my story:

You're exactly 365 days away from becoming whoever you want to be.

Your greatness is waiting on the other side of your excuses.

No one has to change for you to win – you just have to be willing to bet on yourself.

My visible abs journey?

That's coming in 2025.

But more importantly, I'm chasing something bigger – impact.

The chance to help others break free from their own limitations, just like I did.

Remember, your past doesn't define your future.

Your excuses don't control your destiny.

And your potential?

It's limitless when you're willing to get uncomfortable and do the work.

To your success and freedom,

mm
